Allen Ray Wilde, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born on October 26, 1948, in Coalville, Utah, to Samuel Raymond Wilde and Ima Clarissa Reed. His life was marked by faith, service, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.

Allen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served with dedication as a full-time missionary in Ireland. His faith was a central part of his life, and he was deeply involved in his church community throughout his life. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to serve those around him.

 In his early career, Allen worked in the automotive industry, where he learned valuable skills that would serve him throughout his life. He later transitioned to Brigham Young University, where he worked in Physical Facilities for many years. His strong work ethic and attention to detail made him a respected and valued employee.

On June 30, 1972, Allen married Carol Johnson in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising four children and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. Allen’s greatest joy was his family, and he took immense pride in his children and grandchildren, supporting and encouraging them in all their endeavors.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, and their children: Julie Price (David), Shawn Wilde (Brooke), Brent Wilde, and Justin Wilde (Sarah). He was a proud grandfather to Justine Carter (Chandler), Kaden Wilde (Emily), Carter Wilde (Jaicee), Tate Wilde, Calli Kassel, Haley Guerra (Tavo), Carson Kassel, Jenna Kassel, Indie Wilde, Ashtyn Wilde, Brea Wilde, Harlee Wilde, Nixon Wilde, and Connor Wilde. Allen was also blessed with five great-grandsons, Hudson, Tad and Wells Carter, Crew Guerra and Riggs Wilde who brought him much joy and pride. He is also survived by two sisters, Darlene Carpenter (John) and Geri Cravens. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ima Wilde and sister, Donna Richards.

A funeral service to celebrate Allen’s life will be held on November 30, 2024, at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. A visitation will take place prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.

Allen’s legacy will live on through his family and the many lives he touched. His love for his family, his unwavering faith, infectious laugh, quick wit, and ability to make any situation lighter will never be forgotten.
