Alec Jackson Tramell

Alec Jackson Tramell, 36, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, after a long difficult illness. He was born February 4, 1988, in Ogden, Utah to Kristen Froerer and Kevin Tramell.

Alec was dealt some difficult cards in this life. At the age of 5, he was diagnosed with type I diabetes. In his search for peace and freedom from his mind, Alec lived in many different cities and met many people and made loyal friends. He was a fierce advocate for the homeless and often gave up his headphones, food and other basic things when meeting them on the streets. He loved animals all his life; foreign foods and learning new languages and cultural traditions. He also loved computer programming, good music and watching films. “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” with subtitles, was one of his and his brother Spencer’s favorites. Alec has finally found peace and returned home!

Alec is survived by his mother Kristen and Duane Ruffner, daughter Abigail, grandmother Susan Parkinson, aunt Jenny Young, aunt Audrey South, and uncle Dan and Amy Froerer, step sister Olivia Ruffner as well as many cousins, family, and his love Nakita the cat. He was preceded in death by his brother Spencer L. Tramell, his grandpa William A. Froerer, his uncle’s Tim, Billy, and Tod, and of course his recent pets Spyder and Rasha.

The family would like to thank Randy Richards for the years of support, friendship and unconditional service and love, the doctors and nurses at IMC in Murray and Provo, Utah Valley Palliative Care, Active Hospice and their quick response, Khoa Ngo for his years of friendship and kindness and many others who tried to help Alec on his journey.

A celebration of peace and open house will be held on August 10, 2024 from 1pm-4pm for friends and family at 4005 Devonshire Drive, Provo Utah. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local food bank.
