1927-2017
We will miss our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who returned home to Heavenly Father on June 2, 2017, at the age of 89.
Jayne was born on September 16, 1927, to Ezra Clark Knowlton and Mary Albrea Shumway in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married her eternal sweetheart, Ross Kelvin Brewer, on August 27, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Jayne was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary in the Southwest Indian Mission. She has always had a special love of family history and taught her posterity to value the legacy of their ancestors. While participating in YESHARAH , Orem Women’s Club, and Daughters of the Utah Pioneer groups, Jayne enjoyed fellowship with many dear and valued friends.
Together, Jayne and Kelvin raised five children Kelvin Knowlton (Kara) Brewer, Cynthia Brewer (Stuart) Alleman, Michael Clark (Ruth Ann) Brewer, Kathy Jayne (Dale) Hegerhorst, and Bruce Nielsen (Barbara) Brewer. She was lovingly known as "Grammy" to 29 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church located at 310 North 100 East, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held before the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
